So as I proudly reported yesterday my heart breaker of a nephew Cole made his debut in Kindergarten yesterday. Being the proud Aunt Casey I am, I went with my sister today to pick him up from school. Of course the car line was about 45 miles long 25 mins before school even let out, but nonetheless it was super cute watching him walk up from the "car rider line" with his little monogrammed bookbag and a huge smile on his face. I only had the luxury of being in the car rider line on special occasions in elementary school, which mostly included dentist appointments and other un-fun things, otherwise I was stuck riding the school bus, and except for on Fridays when we received candy, it was miserable.
Anyways after checking my email a moment ago, I received an email from my sister that she had received from Cole's teacher today that was just too funny not to share.

Cole is just precious. We love his enthusiasm and we are so happy he is part of our class.
Today the children were outside and Cole started knocking on the window to come in to use the bathroom. After a few seconds he was out again. We have told the children when they go number one, just use hand sanitizer but if you go #2, be sure to wash. When Cole comes out of the restroom with the toilet sound flushing in the background he proudly announced to me that he has to wash his hands b/c he went number 2 AND then said "AND I wiped my own butt!" Now that is an accomplishment.
I thought that was so funny. One of those kindergarten things that parents can giggle about...along with the teacher.

Man I Feel Old
I am not sure if it is the fact that I picked up my first pair of glasses today, or the fact that on most weekend nights I'd rather stay in and watch re-runs of Forensic Files than go out to a bar, but I am a proud little Aunt Casey today since my oldest nephew Cole started kindergarten today.
Isn't he just a little stud?? I am already expecting him to start breaking hearts on the playground this year.
To add to the specialness of this day, my youngest nephew Mason tagged along into school.
Isn't that just the sweetest thing you have ever seen??

Haters want to Hate
Recently some media news/entertainment source came out with survey results on the Most Hated People America.

If you do not know who this atrocious woman is, then stop reading this and move onto the next paragraph. Everyone knows that I am as liberal as they come, and she is as far as to the right as they come. However every time she opens her mouth and blames the current state of the economy on the fact that President Obama is black, I want to gauge my eyes out because her ignorance is so overwhelming. Not to mention that her voice sounds like she has had reproductive organ changes.
It was no surprise that the beauty taking the #1 slot was
However I am not sure I would consider her my own personal hated person in the USA. Do not get me wrong, I did enjoy the fact she was trying to channel her inner Snooki and sport a bump it everyday in court.
Other members making their [source of survey is unknown] included

[octomom]
Hate is such a strong word, that I decided to come up with the people that I really really dislike the most. Here are the few lucky individuals I came up with.
The Duggar Family
I know that I should probably appreciate their wholesome family values, but every time I see them on the Today Show announcing yet another pregnancy, it makes me want to throw up the bowl of Frosted Flakes I just consumed. I understand that for personal & religious beliefs, that using contraceptives is just not in your plan. But for goodness sakes, stop procreating!
Ann Coulter

The Bobsy Twins [Michelle Bachmann & Sarah Palin]
I would rather have a root canal then have to see or hear either one of these. I know I may shock some since I am Liberal Lisa over here, but I sometimes wish females would just stay out of politics.
And last but certainly not least - Willard Scott
I know that he seems like a jolly old man who just likes to wish old people [over 100] happy birthday during the second hour of the Today Show, but I cannot stand him. Maybe I should blame his terrible jokes on some sort of writing staff, but every time I come across these birthday shout outs, I feel a little less smarter.
I really do not hate anyone, but I think it is perfectly acceptable to cuss about how big of idiots these people are when you are by yourself.

Dog Days of Summer
On a day to day basis I have an emotional roller coaster that ranges from freaking out about being unemployed to the next hill of wondering how I am going to pay the mortgage known as my student loans, to the last turn of wondering why I even went to law school. I keep telling myself that I WILL find an attorney job when I get my bar results. However if Campbell even remotely starts posting things like this [see below] on Symplicity [law student/alumni fancy web page for jobs] then I will never, ever endorse Campbell again.
I ran across this atrocious job posting on my favorite legal blog www.abovethelaw.com today and had a good laugh out loud. However my favorite quote from this post that is 100% true
"At least whoever takes this job will gain a keen sense of what being a lawyer is really like, in that you are constantly cleaning up other people’s sh*t."
Genius. For a full laugh and a cry at the current state of the legal job market check the full article out Here

Celebrate good times
So I am SUPER EXCITED that these two
[Morgan and Caroline]
are opening up a real live
Talk about inspirational. I am so proud to say that I know and am friends with both of these wonderful people. In less than a years time, both have quit 9-5 jobs to pursue their dream and now they are getting a real store. Both of them have given me the confidence that any dream is possible and I will be able to find something to do with this degree and hopeful law license of mine. Do not get me wrong I will be said that I can no longer go over and visit Morgan's house and pretend I am their intern. Maybe I will get lucky and they will let me come intern in their new place. Anywho until then, please check out their awesome website www.vestique.com and their awesome blog Ruffles and Lace

Changes
Tupac did it the best when he sang about Changes. In the past week, there has been about a bazillion little changes in my little life.
I packed all of my little belongings into one of these
I packed all of my little belongings into one of these
and literally crammed everything I owned into a storage unit and said sayonara to the great capital city of North Carolina. I headed west to the Charlotte Metro Area, where I will be residing until I find permanent employment back in that great capital. Having grown up around Charlotte, and honestly thought it was the greatest city in the south, I never realized until I moved to Raleigh how much disdain Easterners [the people who grew up in eastern NC] have for Charlotte. Do not get me wrong, Raleigh is obviously wonderful [hence why my job search is limited to Raleigh] however are you easterners crazy? You do realize that Charlotte is the NC home to big banking, professional sports, AND the legend that is known as South Park Mall. I am going to chalk up Easterners lack of appreciation for the great city on their own ignorance in refusing to travel south west of Raleigh.
Anywho I have now[ sort of] settled back into Paul and Deb's house, into my old childhood/teenage bedroom, and while it has since been painted some neutral color and converted into a guest bedroom, it is still weird.
However I am super pumped to no longer have to eat
I am a little sad that I no longer have DVR [Paul and Deb refuse to venture into the 21st century], or that the most comfortable bed in the entire world is packed away into my storage unit on Capital Blvd.
In addition, I received some very disturbing news on Monday. My dentist discovered my very first cavity. My dentist laughed at me when I requested a Valium to take the morning of the filling. I however was being completely serious. Hopefully my Novocaine shot will not be a repeat of the last time I had to get one. I was 7 and my mom said she could hear me screaming from the waiting room "Save me mommy, save me!!" Prayers are welcomed tomorrow.
I also became a four eyed freak today. I finally came to accept that law school has not only given me a mortgage to pay off, but it also has given me terrible vision. I should become an avid glasses wearer in 5-6 business days.
So like I said, a bazillion little changes and I didn't even cover most of them. Oh well, things can keep on changing, but at least I know I am not eating frozen food.

I will never complain about the Bar Exam again
OK so maybe that is not entirely true. I am sure at some point in the future I will complain/groan/whine, etc. about something to do with the bar exam, however after reading this story, I am not sure I have much of anything to do. Woman in labor finishes bar exam, gives birth less than 2 hours later
I had to rub my eyes again to make sure I was reading correctly. However I have mad respect for this woman. I cannot even imagine going through the last 100 questions [which might I add, Barbri is going to get an elaborate letter from me stating my disappointment with the lack of burglary questions, negative equitable servitudes, and negligent infliction of emotional distress questions they promised would be on there].
Anywho what an awesome story and definitely gave me a different perspective on my complaining about the most miserable experience of my life.
